We take a junkyard 454 shortblock, and without taking it apart bolt on a new top end and other parts to make 700 horsepower for less than 2500 dollars - super chevy magazine. An engine in a boat is loaded differently then in a car or truck. if an engine had feeling it would know it was on a boat and not a hotrod. but there is no replacement for displacement until you can't put an impeller behind it that the jet won't handle..
