This is a lovely large lake which you can cycle, walk or row around. the grounds are very well kept and there is plenty of room to find a nice quiet spot for a picnic. there is also a restaurant. we walked into ellesmere village itself which we found quite charming with restaurants and shops. it also has a canal wharf which was busy with boats..
